Aquabridge Law and Age Concern Southend: Supporting Our Community Together

At Aquabridge Law, we believe that being part of the local community means more than simply providing legal services. It means building meaningful relationships, supporting local organisations and contributing to the important work being carried out every day across Southend.

We are delighted to be developing our partnership with Age Concern Southend, based at the Haven’s Community Hub, and to support the fantastic work they do for older people and families throughout the community.

Supporting the Community Together

Over the past year, Aquabridge Law has been proud to support both the Christmas Fayre and Spring Fayre at the Haven’s Community Hub. These events are a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, and we have been delighted to play a small part in supporting them.

The work carried out by Age Concern Southend extends far beyond these events. Their dedicated team provides valuable support, activities and opportunities that help older people stay connected, active and engaged within their community.

A Fantastic Dementia Day Centre

We have also been particularly impressed by the Dementia Day Centre. It is an amazing service, supported by a wonderful and dedicated team who create a welcoming, caring and supportive environment for those who attend.

Seeing first-hand the commitment of the team and the positive impact they have on the people they support has reinforced for us just how important organisations such as Age Concern Southend are within our local community.

Bringing Legal Advice Closer to the Community

As part of our ongoing partnership, we are pleased to be introducing monthly legal drop-in sessions with Aquabridge Law Private Client Solicitor, Emily Payne.

The first session will take place on Thursday 17 September, with sessions continuing on the third Thursday of every month at the Haven’s Community Hub.

These sessions provide an opportunity for members of the community to have an initial conversation about private client matters and understand what legal support may be available to them. Whether you have questions about Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, estate planning or other private client matters, having access to a solicitor in a familiar community setting can make taking that first step much easier.

We are incredibly grateful to Age Concern Southend for welcoming us into the Haven’s Community Hub and look forward to continuing to work alongside the team and supporting the community in the months and years ahead.
